David Bridge, 47, and daughters Makeely, 11, and Jordon, 13, were killed when in a fiery collision between the family car and a petrol tanker. The driver of the petrol tanker was also killed.

The Chapman Family have three daughters who all suffer from the rare condition Glycogen Storage Disease. There are currently only 9 other cases of the disease in Australia. The girls require care around the clock to monitor their blood sugar levels and require assistance with feeding, which means their parents are unable to work.

The Community Enterprise Foundation™ in partnership with the Salvation Army has launched The Haiti Earthquake Appeal following the devasting Earthquake that has caused major damage to the capital, Port-au-Prince and the surrounding area.
The loss of life has been significant, with estimates of over 100,000 people.
The earthquake has also left estimates of over 400,000 people homeless. Basic necessities, such as food and water are in demand as are medical supplies.
Aid agencies, including the Salvation Army, have all available emergency personnel in the area attending to the urgent life saving needs of the survivors.

Lilly's Gift for SMA Research has been established to raise funds for the awareness and research into spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).
SMA is a degenerative motor neuron disease that affects 1 in 6000 babies. The protein needed to build muscles in the body is not produced which causes the muscles to slowly degenerate. There is currently no cure or any proven treatments to help slow the progression of the disease. Diagnosed babies rarely live to see their first birthday.

A 17 year old learner driver was killed on Monday were her car stuck a tree. Injured in the accident were a 13-year-old male, a fourteen-year-old male and a 15 year-old female has had both legs amputated as a result of the accident.
