Alpine Search and Rescue Victoria is an experienced group of cross-country skiers and bushwalkers skilled in search and rescue who are called out in Alpine and other areas by the Victoria Police as part of Bush Search and Rescue Victoria.
Alpine Search and Rescue (AlpineSAR) is one of the member organisations that make up Bush Search and Rescue.
Volunteer searchers undertake regular training to ensure the best result when searching for lost persons in the Victorian bush. This year they are introducing new training for all members, this new level of training is in addition to what the voluntary organisations already provide and will enable a greater level of skill for members.
